Tattoo Tidings
Since I can't seem to focus and actually get any work done, I've decided to write a new post. I have wanted a tattoo for a long time now, but have not up until this point been able to decide on a design. A tattoo is not like buying a car, or some fad that can be given up; a tattoo is a life-time commitment, and is almost as scary as the thought of marriage, which is not even a truly permanent commitment nowadays. The biggest problem I find with tattoos is that I want it in a place where I can show it off if I want to, but can easily be covered up by everyday clothing, and in a place that won't stretch too much if/when I get pregnant. After thinking long and hard about the best placement I have decided to go with the ribcage. I have been told by many people that this is the most painful place to get a tattoo, but I feel like pain is only temporary, and I'd rather get it in the right place to begin with. Recently, I have been thinking more and more about what I could commit to my body and have decided on something revolving around a universal theme. I really love space, but I really love the idea of the unknown even more, so I'm going to try to tie the two together with some kind of image of a galaxy and the saying "Embrace the unknown." Now all I have to do is get my parents to sign off (since they are the ones paying my college tuition) and find the perfect place to get it. I did some research recently and found that the tattoo shop just down the hill from school is actually one of the most highly recommended near Denver, and is praised for its cleanliness and talented artists, which are extremely important to me. I suppose my next step is actually going to the shop, talking with the artist, and seeing if I can get the perfect design. Hopefully this will happen soon! That's all for now...

Really, I am going to blog
So obviously I have failed at blogging, and I apologize. I know it's been a long time since I started this blog, and actually wrote something, but after several reminders from my dear friend Minnehaha, I am going to make an effort to blog more often. I am now well into the first semester of my junior year, working through all the trials and tribulations that come with school. Thankfully, this semester I am only taking 16.5 credit hours, which has given me the time to focus more on my studies during the week, and enjoy some free time on the weekends (usually). It has been quite a busy year thus far, but I am enjoying it nonetheless.
I would like to introduce you to a very important person in my life named Keezheekoni. Keezheekoni is my beloved boyfriend, who I have been with for nearly one year now. I will save some tales of our adventures for another blog, but I wanted to introduce him now. I would also like to introduce/re-introduce two of my good friends Minnehaha and Oconomonowoc, both of whom I am currently living with. Again, I will save our adventures for another blog. All of these names are Indian nick-names, which I will be using as aliases throughout my posts. I would also like to introduce another good friend of mine, but he is currently without an Indian name, so his introduction will have to come in a later post.
This is all for now, but I promise there will be more to come!

Introduction
This blog is an experiment to see just how well I can keep up with recording my life. I rarely have enough time in my day to sit and relax for a few minutes, but I really want to try and use this as a stress reliever. I am currently a student, working through my sophomore year as a geological engineering major. I have never been very good at journaling, or writing in a diary, but I thought I'd join the blogging revolution, or at least give it a try. As the posts go on, you will eventually learn more about who I am and where my life is going. Along the way, I hope I can provide a little bit of wisdom and insight in the world, as I see it, and maybe it will help/encourage/add something to your life.
